Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

Water levels on the Tweed Estuary tomorrow morning (Sunday, 17/11/2024) will be higher than normal due to high tides, large waves and spray overtopping.

Tides will be at their highest at 03:30 AM on 17/11/2024 with wave overtopping possible during these times. High tide conditions can apply two to four hours either side of a high tide.

Areas most at risk include low lying land, roads and footpaths in Berwick between Bridges.

We will continue to monitor levels closely.

Please be careful along riverside footpaths and low lying land and roads as high water levels, large waves and sea spray could be dangerous.
