Flooding possible. Be prepared.
This is a flood alert update. River levels are high at the Amesbury river gauge due to recent rainfall and high groundwater. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Upper Hampshire Avon tributaries between Upavon and Salisbury, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected. Further rain is expected Friday and over the weekend. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses, and do not attempt to walk, cycle or drive through flood water. People in this area should continue to monitor local water levels and weather conditions. This message will be updated by 11:00AM on 14 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
