Flood alert

This is a flood alert update. River levels are rising at the Amesbury, Upavon West and Upavon East river gauges due to recent rainfall. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Upper Hampshire Avon tributaries between Upavon and Salisbury, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected. Further rain is expected over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses, and do not attempt to walk, cycle or drive through flood water. People in this area should continue to monitor local water levels and weather conditions. This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 8 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
