Flood warning

High river levels are expected to cause flooding today. Flooding is expected on 09 February 2026 due to overnight rain. Areas most at risk include areas in Higher Frome Vauchurch, Frome Vauchurch, Cruxton, Notton, Frampton, Grimstone, Muckleford, Stratton, Bradford Peverell, Wrackleford, Charminster, Frome Whitfield, Wolfeton, Lower Burton and Cokers Frome. River levels are high at Stinsford gauge after yesterdays rain. Further rain is forecast for today Monday 9 February which will keep river levels high. The following roads are expected to flood, Charminster to Dorchester road at Burton, Franpton to Southover, and Grimstone to Muckleford road. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels . Activate any flood protection products you may have never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough. This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 10 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
