Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High tides over the next two days may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from 1:45PM to 5:45PM on 02/02/2026 and 2:15AM to 6:15AM on 3/3/2026.
Locations most affected will be the Port of Sunderland and coastal roads and footpaths. Further flooding is possible on all high tides until 05/05/2026.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid coastal footpaths, which may be flooded and beware of large waves.
This message will be updated by 12:00PM on 03 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
