This Flood Warning has been issued due to the high tide forecast at 08:39 AM on 31/12/2023.
Areas most at risk include properties along and behind the Esplanade, Quayside, Heron Court, Forty Foot Way, Driftwood, Fourviews, Britbank, Barwick, Sunset, Riverside, George Hotel, Colmer Lodge and the Parkdean Holiday Park. Localised standing water may affect the roads between the Parkdean Holiday Park and West Bay Road.
High water at 08:39 AM will be around for several hours later.
After this tide‚ the weather is more settled and no further impacts are expected.
We will continue to monitor levels closely.
Please stay away from beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as the expected large waves and sea spray could be dangerous.
