The flood warning has been issued for Widdale Beck at Appersett due to rainfall associated with Storm Jocelyn. Flooding is expected for properties within the village of Appersett. Further rainfall is forecast through today, Tuesday 23/01/2024 and river levels will stay high until Wednesday 24/01/2024. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one and monitor water levels and weather conditions. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses, and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. We will continue to monitor river levels. This message will be updated by 9:00PM on Tuesday 23/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
