Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising rapidly on the Winford Brook and are expected to cause flooding this morning in Chew Magna. Flooding is expected when river levels are at their highest from on 08:30 27/01/2026. Areas most at risk include low lying land and roads near The Batch and Streamleaze. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one and consider activating any property flood protection products. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. Refer to local authority website for road closures. Please do not drive through floodwater as bow waves may affect adjacent properties. This message will be updated by 12:00 PM on 27/01/2026, or as the situation changes.
