Flood alert

The Aldingbourne Rife is high following weeks of rain, but slowly falling. Minor flood impacts affecting fields, roads, and land at Riverside Caravan Centre will continue. A small amount of light rain is expected Saturday afternoon. Less than 5mm of rain. Only a minimal rise in river level is expected Saturday evening. There is uncertainty in Sunday's weather. It is probable another small amount of rain will occur (less than 10mm). River rise on both the Barnham and Aldingbourne Rifes should again be minimal Sunday morning. However, a less likely scenario suggests 20mm of rain could be possible, which may cause minor flooding to affect Barnham Road and Lake Lane, Barnham. The Aldingbourne Rife could rise 20cm, and may affect the car park at Tescos on Shripney Road from 14:00 on 22/02/2026. Less rain and flood risk is predicted next week. We are clearing debris screens through Barnham. Our pumps at Felpham are running. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have. Avoid roads that flood (Barnham Rd and Lake Lane). This message will be updated by 20:00 on 22/02/2026.
