Flooding expected. Take action now.
We have seen heavy rain in the Nene catchment over the past week, which has caused the River Nene to rise. Low lying areas near the river are flooded and we expect properties in London Road, Wansford and Mill Lane, Water View, Marina Terrace in Yarwell to continue to be affected. Our forecasts indicate further rainfall is expected this evening and tomorrow morning, we therefore expect levels to remain high today, Tuesday 1st October 2024. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation, and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine by 17:00 on 02/10/2024, or before if the situation changes.
