Flooding expected. Take action now.
We have seen heavy rain in the River Nene catchment which has caused the River Nene to rise significantly. Levels are expected to remain high for the next few days. Low lying areas near the River are already flooded and we expect properties and access to Yarwell Mill Country Park to be affected overnight, Tuesday 26th November, and into Wednesday 27th. Other areas, including properties on London Road in Wansford, and Mill Lane, Waters View and Marina Terrace in Yarwell, may also be affected. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine on Wednesday 27th November, or before if the situation changes.
