Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are high on Charlton Brook due to persistent rainfall. Levels will remain high but will start to recede.
Flooding is forecast to affect Newton Chambers Road Industrial Estate, Thornbrook Road, Station Road, Cowley Lane, Cowley Court, Falding Street, Barrel Inn Road, Lane End and the Thorncliffe Road Estate.
Rainfall is expected throughout the night, Friday 20th October 2023, and into Saturday.
Our incident rooms are open and we are closely monitoring the situation.
Monitor local water levels and weather conditions and consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
