River levels are falling but remain high on Charlton Brook due to persistent heavy rain yesterday, Friday 20th October 2023. Further showers are expected today, Saturday 21st October 2023.
There remains a risk of flooding to properties. Areas affected include Newton Chambers Road Industrial Estate, Thornbrook Road, Station Road, Cowley Lane, Cowley Court, Falding Street, Barrel Inn Road, Lane End and the Thorncliffe Road Estate.
Our incident rooms are open, and we are closely monitoring the situation. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions and consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
