Flooding expected. Take action now.
The Combe Haven remains high following Sunday's rainfall. Flooding will continue to affect fields, Bexhill Road recreation ground, rural roads, and riverside areas of Combe Haven Holiday Park. Flooding will affect a small number of properties on Bexhill road, that are either close to the Combe Haven river, or that back onto the Recreation Ground. Lots of gardens will have water in, including along Bexhill Road and possibly properties along Bulverhythe Road. Only scattered showers are forecast Monday to Thursday 29/02/2024. The Combe Haven has now peaked, and river levels are falling. However river levels will rise to a similar height, for five hours from 23:00 26/02/2024 and again from 11:00 27/02/2024. River levels will then slowly fall this week, but not far. River levels will still remain higher than normal on Friday, when further rain is forecast, which could cause river levels to rise again. If you have personal, business or community flood plans please consider enacting them. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. We will update this message by 12:00 27/02/2024
