Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels in Bulverhythe are still high, but have fallen half a metre since Monday. Flooding will continue to affect gardens of properties on Bexhill Road close to the Combe Haven river, and possibly gardens on Bulverhythe Road and riverside areas of Combe Haven Holiday Park. A band of rain on Friday morning (01/03/2024), followed by showers through to Saturday (02/03/2024), will cause river levels to rise again. In Bulverhythe, each midday and midnight, the incoming tide will cause the water level to rise by approximately 20cm. Combined with the rain, the river in Bulverhythe could rise by 40cm on Friday morning (01/03/2024). Flood risk could remain through to Wednesday 06/03/2024, and river levels in Bulverhythe could remain higher than normal until next weekend (10/03/2024). If you have personal, business or community flood plans, please consider enacting them. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. We will update this message by 12:00 on 02/03/2024.
