Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is expected. River levels are rising on the Chertsey Bourne as a result of heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected this morning, 5 January 2024, especially in the Thorpe Garden areas. The forecast for the next 48 hours is drier, with some scattered showers.
We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. Our staff are liaising with councils and emergency services. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. Avoid contact with flood water.
