Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High tides on Wednesday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible for 2 hours either side of Wednesday's early morning tide at 01:00 on 04/02/2026.
The weather increases tide table values by 0.31 m. Total forecast tide is 6.18 metres Chart Datum (3.13 mAOD) at Littlehampton. Light Southerly Force 4 wind. Waves could cause a small amount of overtopping of the beach, affecting Climping Street Car Park. A small amount of water may then flow or be directed westwards along Mill Lane towards residential property in Climping Street. Wednesday's tide at 13:15 on 04/02/2026 is forecast to be the same height (3.13 mAOD). Similar tides and flood impacts are expected until Friday afternoon.
We are closely monitoring the situation and we routinely check the condition of the beach at Climping.
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have . Access could be restricted. Take care if visiting Climping beach.
