Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High tides on Friday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible for 2 hours either side of Friday's early morning tide at 02:15 on 06/02/2026.
The weather increases tide table values by 0.5 m. Total forecast tide is 6.26 metres Chart Datum (3.21 mAOD) at Littlehampton. Light South Easterly Force 4 wind. Small amounts of water will flood land and fields at Climping. Waves will overtop the sea front, directing water westwards along Mill Lane (from the right of the East car park) towards properties on Climping Street. Water may pond near property and in Climping Street Car Park. Friday's tide at 14:30 06/02/2026 is forecast to be 20 cm lower (3.01 mAOD). Tide levels and flood risk should reduce from Friday afternoon.
We are closely monitoring the situation . We routinely check the condition of the beach at Climping.
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have . Access could be restricted. Take care if visiting Climping beach.
