Flood warning

This Flood Warning has been issued due to the high tide expected today, Monday 21 February. This is as a result of high spring tides and strong winds. The tide will be high between the hours of 3pm and 5pm today. We expect flooding to affect locations nearest the coast throughout this area, in particular properties in Front Brents, North Lane and Conduit Street and areas alongside the creek in Faversham as well as Conyer. Coastal conditions are expected to improve from 6pm onwards. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are checking our defences and structures and are prepared to respond when required. Please take action to protect yourself and your property if you believe you are at risk. Be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads near the water. For those that use it, the total water level forecast for the 3:45pm tide recorded at Sheerness will be 4.1mAOD. The wind will be a force 6 North Westerly. This message will be updated this evening or as the situation changes.
