Flood alert

High tides, strong winds and large waves due to Storm Ashley may lead to flooding overnight.
The highest tide level along the coast from St Bees Head to Haverigg is expected at 2:15 AM on 21/10/2024. Flooding is possible several hours either side of this time.
Areas most at risk include low lying areas along the coast from St Bees Head to Haverigg including Ravenglass and Annaside.
We will close flood gates at Ravenglass.
Stay away from beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous. Please don't put yourself or others at risk.
