Rising river levels this afternoon may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible when river levels are at their highest from 3:00 PM on 16/10/2024.
Areas most at risk include Low lying land from Ormskirk to Southport including, Banks, Birkdale, Brown Edge, Mere Brow and Scarisbrick.
Further flooding is possible throughout the evening as river levels are expected to remain high due to heavy rainfall.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and clearing debris from weed screens.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
Monitor local water levels and weather conditions.
