The River Tone level at Currymoor pumping station is 7.28m and rising in response to last night’s rain. Water will enter Currymoor via Hookbridge spillway whilst above 7.45m. The drain level at Currymoor pumping station is currently 6.65m and falling. Cutts Road and New Road remain closed. The Athelney spillway is not running and the A361 is open. For the latest levels refer to https://check-for-flooding.service.gov.uk/river-and-sea-levels. We are pumping at Northmoor and Saltmoor and have additional mobile pumps at both stations. Pumping at Currymoor will continue as river levels allow. Scattered showers are forecast for Friday afternoon with potential for heavier localised rainfall in the evening and overnight into Saturday morning. The rest of Saturday is expected to be largely dry. We are monitoring the situation closely and checking flood banks, spillways and sluices. Please avoid driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 1pm on 28/02/2026 or as the situation changes.
