Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels have risen above Flood Warning threshold as a result of the overnight heavy rain.
Consequently, flooding of roads, paths and land is expected, and riverside properties are at risk too in the Sampford Mill Farm area.
Given that the heaviest rain has mainly passed through, river levels are expected to peak in the next few hours. However, heavy rainfall is anticipated again from 12:00PM tomorrow 17/12.
Our incident response staff have been out clearing weed screens in the daytime and we are closely monitoring the situation.
Please consider installing property flood resilience equipment and other flood plan measures, including avoiding low lying roads near rivers which may be flooded.
This message will be updated later on 16/12/2025, or as the situation changes.
