Flood warning

A Flood Warning has been issued for tomorrow mornings high tide Saturday 7th January 2023. Water levels will be higher than normal due to a spring tide, a tidal surge, strong winds and large waves. The morning high tide at Preston Beach will be at 06:51 am with force 8 southerly winds. Flooding is possible at the Sea Life Centre and the Preston Beach Road area of Lodmoor. Conditions may apply one to two hours either side of the high tide. Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous. We continue to monitor the forecast and will re-issue this warning if necessary. This message will be updated by 12:00 PM on 07/01/2023, or as the situation changes
