Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High tides tomorrow morning may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from 4:45am to 8:00am then again from 12:45pm to 3:00pm on the 27/01/2026
Areas most at risk include Preston Beach, Swanage, Poole Harbour and Christchurch Harbour. Tides tomorrow are expected to be high with offshore swell causing issues. The first tide particularly targets Swanage bay, the second tide particular targets Preston beach and Weymouth bay. The detailed tidal forecast for the 2 alert tides is or the first peak level at Swanage of 1.14 mAODN at 6:30AM on 27/01/2026, with Southerly force 6 winds. The second tide at Preston will peak at 1.47 mAODN at 12:15PM on 27/01/2026, with Southerly force 6 winds. (mAODN is height above average sea level).
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded .
