Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High tides this afternoon may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from 12:30pm to 2:30pm on Sunday 7th December 2025.
Areas most at risk are within low lying land around Corringham, Tilbury, Grays, Thurrock and Purfleet-on-Thames. The detailed forecast is for a peak level at Southend of 3.6mAODN at 1:30pm, today, Sunday the 7th of December 2025, which is 0.49m above tide tables, Wind Force 5, South Westerly.
We are closely monitoring the situation and not expecting it to escalate or issue any further alerts.
Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded .
This message will be updated by 5:00PM on 07 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
