Warning no longer in force

The River Ouse is high, following Thursday's rain, but now slowly falling. Until Sunday, receding flood water will continue to affect fields and gardens near Freshfield Mill Farm, Freshmill and Millers Cottages on Sloop Lane, and Bridge Cottage, Sheffield Park. Some flood water will also likely remain on roads at Fletching Mill Bridge and Sharpsbridge. Very little rain is forecast for the next five days. The river should continue to slowly fall Saturday, and return nearer to normal by Sunday. Some roads including Fletching Mill Bridge and Sharpsbridge may continue to be affected by flood water, please plan to avoid driving through routes vulnerable to flooding suggested in this message. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. We will re issue this Flood Warning if the risk of property flooding increases.
