Warning no longer in force

The River Ouse has fallen significantly in all communities, but still remains a little higher than normal near Fletching and Sharpsbridge. Minor flood impacts affecting gardens, roads, and fields will continue to ease. Flood water on roads at Fletching Mill Bridge and Sharpsbridge should reduce through Wednesday. No rain is forecast for the next five days, with high pressure predicted to bring dry and settled weather. The river should continue to fall. River levels near Barcombe might not return to normal until Thursday (09/05/2024). Some roads including Fletching Mill Bridge and Sharpsbridge may still be affected by flood water. Please plan to take care driving on routes vulnerable to flooding suggested in this message. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. We will re-issue this Flood Warning if property flooding becomes expected.
