Flooding expected. Take action now.
High groundwater levels are expected to cause flooding. Groundwater levels in Salisbury Plain remain high. Areas that could be affected include: Hindon. The groundwater level at the Terraces borehole remains high at 115.76m. Levels are falling steadily. The start of the week is dry so further falls are expected. Rain is expected on Thursday but drier conditions return over the weekend. We are closely monitoring the situation. If you have a pump, make sure it is working and switched on. Think about alternative power sources in case of power cuts. Roads may be impassable due to flood water, do not drive through floodwater. This message will be updated by 10:45AM on 9th March 2026 or as the situation changes.
