Flood warning

River levels have risen and are expected to rise further as a result of recent heavy rainfall and this afternoon’s high tide. Flooding of property and low lying land is expected from 1:30pm this afternoon, Wednesday 28 February 2024. We expect flooding to affect some properties around Grove Ferry and Plucks Gutter and low lying land around Westbere. Further rainfall is forecast from this evening and again on Thursday 29 February. This will maintain high levels in the Great Stour into the weekend.

We are closely monitoring the situation and continue to operate Stonar Cut to minimise the impact.
This message will be updated by 9pm on Wednesday 28 February 2024, or as the situation changes.
