Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels remain very high as a result of recent heavy rainfall. A tidal surge at Dover of up to 0.5m is also possible during the next high tide at 2am on Friday 1 March 2024. Flooding of property, roads and low lying land is possible overnight from 3am. We expect flooding to affect some properties around Grove Ferry and Plucks Gutter.

Further spells of rain are forecast to continue on Thursday evening and during Friday 1 March. This will maintain high levels in the Great Stour into the weekend but reducing tide levels should lessen the impact. We are closely monitoring the situation and continue to operate Stonar Cut to reduce river levels. This message will be updated by 10am on Friday 1 March 2024, or as the situation changes.
