Flooding possible. Be prepared.
River levels are rising as a result of heavy rainfall. Flooding of roads and low lying land is expected from 9pm today, 27/11/2022. We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads close to the Speringbrook Sewer, particularly around Hamstreet.
Further rainfall is forecast until 1am on 28/11/2022. We expect river levels to remain high until 8am Monday morning.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are deploying pumps, people and equipment to the area and actively monitoring the situation and are prepared to respond if required.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 28/11/2022, or as the situation changes.
