Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

River levels remain high but are beginning to fall. Flooding is expected to continue through today, Monday 28/11/2022. We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads close to the Speringbrook Sewer, particularly around Hamstreet. Further localised heavy rainfall is forecast for today. We expect river levels to remain high until this evening, 28/11/2022. Our incident response staff are actively monitoring the situation and are prepared to respond if required. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated this afternoon, 28/11/2022, or as the situation changes.
