The Scrasebridge and West Common Streams are now falling following Monday's rain. River levels have fallen by half a metre, and should now be lower than the tops of the river banks. Rain has cleared the area, and the forecast is for high pressure, bringing settled and dry weather for the next five days. Minor flood impacts affecting fields, roads and gardens should continue to ease overnight. If you see a blockage affecting the flow in the river on Bridge Road or Hickmans Lane, please call our incident hotline on 0800 80 70 60. We will clear debris from grilles through Lindfield, to help keep the river flowing freely and reduce flood risk. We will re-issue this message if new instances of property flooding are possible.
