River levels remain high, but are falling at the Bedford river gauge following the heavy rainfall on Wednesday 23rd December. Further rainfall is forecast for Sunday 27th and Monday 28th December 2020. Consequently, the risk of property flooding remains. We expect flooding to affect Meadow Lane at Cardington, Water Lane at Renhold, Old Mills Cottage and New Road at Great Barford, Church Street and Ford Lane at Tempsford, and Great North Road between Roxton and Tempsford. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services. Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Call 999 if in immediate danger. This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.
