Flooding is possible from overnight on 27 August 2026 . 
Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Slash Lane at Sileby and the Mountsorrel to Sileby road. Isolated thunderstorms are forecast over the next 24 hours, with low confidence over timing and locations. River levels at Pillings Lock Gauge will rise until 21:00 on 27/08/2026. 
We are closely monitoring the situation . 
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses .
