Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Forecast rising river levels may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from today, Friday 23 October . Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Slash Lane at Sileby and the Mountsorrel to Sileby road. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 6 hours. River levels at Pillings Lock Gauge will continue rising. We are closely monitoring the situation . Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 17:00 on Friday 23 October or as the situation changes.
