River levels have risen at the Newcastle under Lyme river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall this evening (25/10/2019). Consequently, flooding of property is possible later tonight and into tomorrow morning. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. Please avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 26/10/2019, or as the situation changes.
