Flood alert

Continuing high river levels mean flooding remains possible today and overnight into 28 January.
Heavy rain has fallen throughout Monday and into Tuesday and further showers are possible.
Catchments are saturated and rivers are expected to remain high.
Properties and low lying land and roads close to the river remain at risk. The main areas of concern are Exebridge, Bolham, Bampton and Tiverton.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
This message will be updated by 4:00PM on 28 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
