Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels remain high due to the recent rainfall and high groundwater. Flooding is expected at locations in Britford, Charlton All Saints, Downton and Fordingbridge in close proximity to the River Avon. The forecast is for dry and bright conditions today and tomorrow. We will continue to monitor the situation. Please continue to use any flood protection products you may have and act on your flood plan if you have one. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car. This message will be updated by 2:30PM on Thursday 5th March 2026 or as the situation changes.
