Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

High river levels are expected to cause flooding tomorrow morning. 
Flooding is expected on 27 January 2026 from the early hours of the morning onwards. 
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Middle Dorset Stour, Lower Dorset Stour, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Hammoon, Bere Marsh, Stourpaine, Durweston and Lower Blandford St Mary. Heavy rainfall is forecast to fall overnight. Falling on saturated ground with rivers already full, levels will rise further. 
We are closing flood gates gates at Blandford carpark will be closed on the morning of 27/1/26. 
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . 
This message will be updated by 4:30PM on 27 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
