Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Levels are now beginning to fall, but remain high on Mires Beck due to recent rainfall associated with Storm Henk. Areas most at risk of flooding include properties on Denmark Rise, Mill Lane, Church Street, Blanshards Lane, Townend Lane and Newport Road. We expect levels to remain high throughout the day. Further light rainfall is forecast for the next few days. Our incident room is open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Please monitor local water levels and weather conditions and put your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 05:30 PM on Wednesday, 03/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
