Flooding expected. Take action now.
Levels have fallen on Mires Beck. However, flooding is still possible in this catchment due to standing water, particularly along Townend Lane. Areas most at risk of flooding include properties on Denmark Rise, Mill Lane, Church Street, Blanshards Lane, Townend Lane and Newport Road. Further light rainfall is forecast for the next few days. Our incident room is open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Please monitor local water levels and weather conditions and put your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 09:30 AM on Friday, 05/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
