Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High tide and forecast weather conditions on Friday 07 November may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of the high tide this evening.
Areas particularly at risk include Lynmouth, Combe Martin, Hele, Ilfracombe, Lee, Instow, Appledore, Westward Ho!, and Clovelly, Bideford, Barnstaple. High tide at Ilfracombe is at 7:00PM on Friday, times of high water will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide level is 5.10 mAOD which is around 0.29 metres above tide table level. Force 4 westerly winds and offshore wave heights of 1.50m are forecast over the high tides. Coastal conditions should ease for Saturday morning's high tide.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid beaches and coastal promenades, which may be flooded .
