Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

High tides, strong winds and large waves are expected to cause flooding today. 
Flooding is expected from 03:30PM to 07:00PM on 03/02/2026. 
Locations most affected will be North Shields Western Quay Promenade. 
We are closely monitoring the situation . 
Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded and beware of large waves and overtoppping. 
This message will be updated by 9:00PM on 03 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
