Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are reacting, and rising in response to steady overnight rainfall. Flooding is expected over the next few hours and into this evening, 28/04/2024.
Areas most at risk are Harding Way, Nursery Gardens, Russet Close, Bramley Road, Elsworth Close, Rookery Close, Sheepfold, Great Fathing Close, Little Fathing Close, Fathing Lane, Brookway, Willow Way, Abbey Retail Park, Parson Green and Parsons Drove.
Further light rainfall is expected over the next 12 hours which will keep river levels high and could also lead to some surface water problems. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation.
We will update this message by 6pm today, 28/04/24.
