Flood warning

The River Aire at Chapel Haddlesey remains high due to persistent rainfall. Levels are now falling further upstream but will remain high in the Lower Aire catchment through today, Thursday 04/1/24, with washland areas continuing to fill. River levels are expected to steadily fall through the rest of the week. We will be closely monitoring the forecasts and river levels.
Please put your flood plan into action and take care when near washlands and low-lying land, which could be flooded. Avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses, and do not drive through floodwater.
