This Flood Warning is no longer in force, as levels on the River Aire have continued to fall throughout this morning, 22/01/21, and are now below the flood risk threshold. The main band of rain associated with Storm Christoph has now passed and no further significant rainfall is forecast in the next 24 hours. Although the risk of property flooding has passed, levels on the River Aire remain elevated so standing water and debris may remain in some areas. There is still a Flood Alert in force for the Upper Aire, as although the washlands at Snaygill and Cononley have stopped filling, levels remain high and are likely to remain elevated for over 24 hours. Washland levels are now falling slowly and are expected to continue draining over the next couple of days. We will continue to monitor the situation. Please continue to avoid washland areas. See GOV.UK for a 5 day flood forecast, and to report property flooding, call 0800 80 70 60.
