This flood warning remains in force due to very high levels in the Kildwick area following heavy rain over the previous 24 hours.
Consequently, the risk of flooding to property continues through this evening, Wednesday 01 January 2025 and overnight. Areas most at risk include Snaygill Industrial Estate from the sewage works to Ghyll Way, including, further downstream, Cononley Business Park on Cononley Lane and Aireside Avenue.
River levels at Kildwick are now starting to slowly fall and river and washland levels should continue to fall tonight and through tomorrow, Thursday 2nd January. No further significant rainfall is expected over the next two to three days.
Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Do not put yourself at risk by walking or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 05:00 AM on Thursday 2nd January 2025, or as the situation changes.
