Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Rising river levels today may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 18 December 2025 .
River levels are rising in the Upper Aire Catchment due to persistent rainfall. Flooding of low lying land is possible overnight on Wednesday 17th December 2025. Areas from Gargrave to Stockbridge including Eshton Beck, Eller Beck and Silsden Beck may be affected.
We expect rainfall to continue until early in the morning on Thursday 18th December 2025. There will be a further band of rain in the afternoon of Thursday 18th December.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses .
